Claro‘s 5G service in Brazil will be available to more than two million people in the first phase. The joint venture between Claro, Vivo, and TIM is also preparing to launch the service in Belo Horizonte, followed by Sao Paulo and Porto Alegre.

It is also using Ericsson’s dynamic spectrum sharing technology to run 5G and 4G services simultaneously. Claro expects that by 2021, more than a million of its customers will have 5G devices.

The partnership also includes the Cisco Business Edition 3000. This solution is targeted at companies with 50 to 300 employees and integrates voice, video, messaging, and conferencing capabilities. It is designed to be easy to deploy and offers a low total cost of ownership. The solution includes SIP trunking and Digital E1 trunking interfaces.
